Caregiver Tasks:
⦁ Medication management
⦁ Housekeeping
⦁ Meal preparation
⦁ Grooming of residents
⦁ Company companionship
⦁ Involvement in activity
⦁ and other duty as necessary.
Certified medication technician duties and responsibilities:
- Perform resident care responsibility in a manner conduct to their safety and comfort consistent with administering medication charting documentation, in the appropriate order Procedure as well as state/guideline and regulations.
- Administers medication as ordered by a physician
- Must demonstrate knowledge of six rights of medication administration and records all medication given to residents base up on their specific chart.
- Notifies appropriate license staff when a resident complains of pain
- May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medication‘s
- Records the administration of medication and/or treatment appropriately notify the appropriate staff
- Answering resident call bell, anticipated resident needs and make rounds
- Observe for and report any reaction and/or side effects of medication to Delegating Nurse perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimize resident safety and well-being
- Support and maintains a call tour of safety and quality
- Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and regulations
- Report and when appropriate record any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents
- Performs other duty as well
- Medication technician and CPR certification as well as at least one year of experience is required
